The benefits of attendingDo you want to make more effective use of outdoor experiences in your work with managers? The emphasis of both workshops is on developing effective facilitation and reviewing skills. To gain full benefit from this opportunity, you should be working in the field of training or development, and you should be a provider or client of outdoor training. The main focus is on the skills and tools of facilitation that can be used during outdoor training programmes to maximise their impact.
Dr. Roger Greenaway
The presenter of these workshops is Dr. Roger Greenaway who
specialises in providing trainer-training events in reviewing and facilitation
skills. His research was about the experiences of managers taking part in OMD
programmes at Brathay - one of the leading providers of
development training in the UK, and where Roger used to work. Roger’s previous
experience of working in Portugal was in June 2000 when he provided a 5 day
course on ‘Harnessing the Power of the Outdoors’ - also in
association with Inout Training.
TRAINING STYLE: You will find that Roger’s workshops are a dynamic mix of doing and talking because this is the style of ‘active reviewing’ that he promotes. It is experience-based learning about experience-based learning. You will have many opportunities to participate, practise, question and discuss. TRAINING LANGUAGE: Key inputs and most discussion will be in English, but the practical exercises and small group work will usually be in Portuguese. QUESTIONS: If you have any questions please contact José Maia at Inoutraining in Portugal, or Roger Greenaway at Reviewing Skills Training, Scotland. ResourcesBoth as preparation and follow-up for this event you are recommended to
