The Children &
Nature Network
organisation started by
Richard
Louv,
author of "Last
Child in the Woods".
Read the blurb below
and
click on the link should you wish to visit and even sign up!
The
central idea behind the Natural Teachers Network (NTN)tm is
to
offer a virtual meeting place for teachers of all disciplines
and
all age groups to meet and share ideas, successful activities
to
connect children with nature, frustrations, and just connect
with
like-minded teachers who understand the importance of
connecting
children with the natural world to improve mental and
physical
health, cognitive capacity, and overall well-being.
Richard
Louv has frequently had teachers come up to him after his
presentations
saying they feel alone in their school and district
in
wanting to get kids in their classrooms outside. This will
help
solve that problem.
The
virtual meeting place will be established on the Children &
Nature
Network's new social networking site called C&NN CONNECT,
which
you can reach at http://childrenandnature.ning.com
